I'm so distraught, I don't even notice the engine cutting out while I try to call my friend. She's just sent me a photo of my husband that I could only vision in a nightmare and now nobody is taking my calls. I try to put the car into gear and drive away, then realise the engine isn't running. Everything seems to be going wrong at once.
